"An idea is like a virus. Resilient. Highly contagious. And even the smallest seed of an idea can grow." I always think of this line from the movie 'Inception' anytime I see an idea get away from me. I am often left wondering if it was even my idea in the first place. Have you felt this way before? What do you do when an idea slips through your fingers? It used to bother me if I had an idea and did not get credit for it. But life is far more nuanced than that. Credit isn't always the end-goal. Sometimes seeing beyond the immediate gratification of credit is more important, and sometimes the end-result for the team trumps everything else. There are exceptions to the rule, but that's another post for another day. Try tracking your ideas, who you share them with, and how they are received so you can see how your seed of an idea takes root.
